That wasn’t an accident. The "Factory" part of their name was a nod to Berryz Kobo (Berryz Workshop), their legendary seniors. But while Berryz was about the "workshop," Kobushi was about the "fist." They were built to be strong, punchy, and full of raw energy. When they sang, they didn't just perform; they commanded the stage with a vocal power that most groups couldn't touch.

One of the best things about being a fan of "Factory" groups is seeing the members grow. As of today, May 13, 2026, the members are absolutely crushing it in their new chapters.
Rei Inoue: The Juice=Juice Queen
Rei-chan didn't stay "unemployed" for long. After Kobushi disbanded, she joined Juice=Juice, and she has become a cornerstone of that group. She just finished a massive show at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on May 6, 2026, as part of their "UP TO 11" tour. If you’re in Japan, she’s performing at the Pia Arena MM on May 27. Her "Rei-pan" (her signature vocal style) is still as sharp as ever.
Ayano Hamaura: The Solo Debut
Hama-chan took a slightly different path, focusing on acting before returning to music. In March 2025, she made her major solo debut with the single "HGL" (Happy-Go-Lucky). It was exactly what we wanted, energetic, stylish, and 100% Ayano. She even held a special "With You Valentine" solo event in February 2026 that sold out instantly.
Ayaka Hirose: The Musician’s Path
The leader, Ayaka, has stayed true to her musical roots. She’s been working on solo music and participating in various stage productions. She has always been the "brain" of the group, and her solo work reflects that same thoughtfulness and vocal precision.

People often ask why this group still has such a dedicated following six years after they disbanded. It’s because the members themselves never let the bond die.
There is a running joke, that is also very real, about the members still meeting up for Gyukaku (Japanese BBQ) meals. Even in 2025 and 2026, you'll see photos pop up on social media of them sitting around a grill, laughing just like they did back in the day. That genuine friendship translates into their music. You can hear the chemistry in every harmony.
